At Rockline Track & Field Academy, we help young athletes develop the speed, strength, technique, and confidence needed to excel on the track and in the field. Whether your child is just beginning or striving to compete at a higher level, our experienced coaches provide quality instruction in running mechanics, jumping events, throwing events, conditioning, and overall athletic development.

Our Programs Include: Sprint Training:
Improve acceleration, top-end speed, running mechanics, and explosive power.

Distance & Endurance:
Develop stamina, pacing strategies, and efficient running form for middle- and long-distance events.

Jumps:
Learn proper technique for long jump, triple jump, and high jump while improving power and coordination.

Throws:
Build strength and master proper form for shot put.

Rockline Track & Field Academy – Frequently Asked

Questions (FAQ)1. What ages do you accept for Track & Field?
Track & Field program is open to boys and girls ages 5–17. Athletes are grouped by age and skill level to provide a fun, safe, and challenging training environment.
2. Does my child need Track & Field experience ?
No ! We welcome athletes of all experience levels—from beginners trying Track & Field for the first time to experienced competitors preparing for school, AAU, or USATF competition.

3. Can my child attend a free trial ?
Yes ! Every new athlete is invited to attend a FREE trial session before joining our program.
4. What events and skills are taught ?
Our coaches focus on developing well-rounded athletes by teaching:
  • Sprint mechanics
  • Middle and long-distance running
  • Relay fundamentals
  • Shot Put
  • Speed and agility
  • Strength and conditioning
  • Running form and technique
  • Race strategy
  • Confidence and leadership
5. How often are practices ? 
Practice schedules vary depending on the program and membership. Most athletes train two or more times each week.
6. How long are training sessions ?
Most Track & Field training sessions last approximately 60 minutes, with additional opportunities for specialized event instruction.
7. Do athletes participate in meets ? 
Yes. As our program continues to grow, athletes will have opportunities to compete in local, regional, AAU, and USATF track meets. Competition schedules vary throughout the season.
8. Do you offer competitive Track & Field ?
Yes. As our Track & Field program expands, qualified athletes will have opportunities to compete for Rockline Track & Field at local, regional, and national competitions.
9. What equipment does my child need? 
Athletes should bring:
  • Running shoes or track spikes (if available)
  • Comfortable athletic clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Towel (optional)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
10. Will my child be able to try multiple events ?
Yes. Younger athletes are encouraged to experience a variety of running, jumping, and throwing events before specializing as they develop.
11. Do you train sprinters, distance runners, jumpers, and throwers ?
Yes. Our coaching staff provides instruction across all major Track & Field events while emphasizing proper technique, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development.
12. Can beginners join? Absolutely! Our coaches teach proper fundamentals from the ground up, helping every athlete build confidence while developing strong technique.
13. Are parents allowed to watch practices? 
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe training sessions whenever facility policies allow.
14. Do you offer private Track & Field lessons ?
Yes. Individual and small-group training sessions are available for athletes seeking personalized coaching and accelerated development.
15. Can homeschool athletes participate ? Absolutely ! We proudly welcome homeschool athletes and provide structured daytime and evening training opportunities.
16. Will this help my child prepare for school Track & Field, AAU, or USATF competition ? Yes. Our goal is to prepare athletes with the speed, strength, technique, conditioning, and confidence needed to succeed at every level of Track & Field competition.
